ROBOTICS ENCLOSURES

Robotics enclosures are generally installed where the exposure risk in the process is not as great as a typical fume cupboard application. They are also preferred where the front access only provided on a fume cupboard is not sufficient, with side and rear access is also provided as required.

The enclosures can be either a ducted version or a re-circulating version with pre-filters, carbon filters, HEPA filters as required.

All robotics enclosures are bespoke units, customised to suit the laboratory configuration, tailored to suit the size and movement of the robot in question, and other features that are specific to the robots operation.

A wide range of vertical sliding, horizontally sliding, hinged, bi-folding and locking windows are available, with sashes generally provided from toughened glass, clear acrylic or polycarbonate dependent on the type of work being undertaken in the enclosure.

Compartments below the worksurface for housing PC units, as well as slide out keyboard shelves and monitor arms can be fitted to enable operatives to monitor and control the robots activities whilst being near and facing the robot.

Units are generally manufactured with an outer carcass manufactured from zintec mild steel with an epoxy polyester powder coated gloss finish. A range of options for worksurfaces, wet and dry services, drainage, sockets, storage compartments, cable entry ports, fumigation, etc. are also available.
